Toulouse is the ideal destination for enjoying the festive spirit of Christmas. The shops compete with each other in the beauty and originality of their window displays, the market stalls showcase the best of the region’s gastronomy, and the illuminated streets enchant the city from the very last light of day.

The Christmas Markets

The Grand Marché de Noël – Place du Capitole
From 26 November to 27 December 2026
The Place du Capitole is transformed into a veritable Christmas village, with its shopping stalls and illuminated decorations. You’ll also find other markets set up elsewhere in the city.
The treats on offer at the market will delight lovers of sweet and savoury treats, decorations, accessories, jewellery and toys in their thousands.
Can you smell the mulled wine tickling your nose, and further afield the melted cheese, chocolate and spices? Don’t leave the Christmas market without sampling the region’s star dish: aligot aveyronnais.
