GEORGES-LABIT MUSEUM
About
The Moorish villa built in the heart of a garden planted with Asian and Mediterranean plant species is worth the trip alone, but by pushing the door, we have access to one of the most beautiful French collections of oriental art.
This collection, assembled by the collector Georges Labit, has belonged since 1912 to the city of Toulouse, which has enriched it with Egyptian and Oriental antiquities.
A real Egyptian mummy stands next to delicate Japanese prints: the visit promises eclecticism and a change of scenery!
For a more concrete approach, throughout the year, workshops for adults and children are offered: modelling, Japanese cuisine, origami, calligraphy, discovery of the tea ceremony...
